"Condensation drying technology as a nursing home"

In the March 2019 Onion Special, AGF Primeur paid extensive attention to the current state of affairs in the onion sector.

The magazine wrote a catchy article about the condensation drying technology for onions, based on an interview with Marcel Bennink, Project Manager at ENGIE Refrigeration.

Although ENGIE Refrigeration does not have its roots in the onion sector, the company does have many years of history and experience in refrigeration technology. A few years ago, the company introduced condensation drying technology in the onion sector and, according to Bennink, that was a big hit. “We gained this technology thanks to our experiences in cheese warehouses. In the beginning, the agricultural sector had to get used to this new technology, but now it has proven its added value. Onions that exit our storage rooms are the best advertisement. No, the condensation drying system is not a hospital for them. Poor-quality onions do not become stars. But the system is close to being a nursing home!
